  • Meet with the client at current home and develop a move strategy including timelines that meet the needs of the client as well as the retirement facility.
  • Based on the floor plan of the new residence help select furniture and accessories that best suit your new living environment.
  • Manage all aspects of the disposal of unwanted items through consignment, auction, estate sale, antique dealers, and donation.
  • Pack and arrange shipments of items to family members to other areas of the country.
  • Arrange any storage of items not moving but not ready to part with.
  • Pack all personal and household belongings so they are ready for move day.
  • Purchase any necessary items for the new home with or without the client.
  • Handle all utility hookups and disconnects (telephone, internet, and electric).
  • Clean paintings and have reframed if needed.
  • Purchase appropriate curtain rods and transfer curtains to the new home.
  • Using our select movers, supervise the placement of furniture and boxes on move day.
  • Unpack, organize and set up the new home. This includes emptying boxes, rooms set up, closets organized, pictures hung, electronics hooked up and beds made. Your new home is ready from day one and you can relax and enjoy.
  • If needed, see that home is prepared for sale. This may include managing any ongoing or one-time maintenance items, securing real estate agent and/or securing professional skilled trades’ person for repairs to the home.
